Overview: Authentic Inclusion must be elevated to the Board level to ensure that systemic change and transformation can take place. In this Panel/Webinar we will dive into Inclusion from the perspective of Digital Transformation, Psychological underpinnings of bias, and hear from active Board members on how they are thinking about and approaching this topic as well as what implementation plans they have today.
Value to Audience: Addressing current events that require Board attention & action. Attendees will be challenged on their current thinking. With this organic understanding the audience will be motivated to move from talking to authentic action toward Inclusion as a Business Imperative and not a check box exercise.
- The Board must believe deeply that diversity brings different perspectives to the innovation process – driving better results, profits, happier customers and employees, and enhancing the human capital experience.
- Board members need to have a conscious awareness that D&I must be not just discussed but enacted.
- The board must drive the coupling of message & action through all aspects of the business.
- The audience will have new understanding where implementation gets stuck and how to address it as a Board Member

We will explore the area of Family Business Board membership. Like most professionally run boards, membership is critical to the success of the organization. Family Businesses are no different. Where it is different, is in the complexity of selecting the right board members and managing the dynamics of the family at the same time. David Karofsky, Principal with The Family Business Consulting Group and Caleb White, Principal with CFAR will run an interactive session exploring these concepts and facilitating breakout groups to dive deep into the world of Family Business Board membership.

The economic fallout of the COVID-19 pandemic has quickly repositioned many previously financially-strong companies to the verge of insolvency. How does a Board pivot in this environment? What questions should the Board be asking the CEO that will uncover the realities being faced?

If you’re unsure about where your company’s liquidity stands, or suspect your firm is closer to financial distress than desired, and you want to avoid reaching the “zone of insolvency,” then don’t miss this event.
