Denise is currently the CFO of Koopman Lumber in Whitinsville, MA. She graduated from Calvin College in Grand Rapids, MI where she majored in Accounting. After graduation she worked for Rehmann Robson, a regional accounting firm in Michigan where she earned her CPA certification. She then worked for Herman Miller in Zeeland, MI in the internal audit division.
She returned to Koopman Lumber in 1996 with her husband who also started working in the business. Denise, her husband, Tony, and her brother, Dirk Koopman, make up the third-generation leadership team at Koopman Lumber. Denise lives in Whitinsville with her husband and four children. She is a member of the Board of Directors at Unibank for Savings. She also serves on the Board of Trustees and the Finance committee at Milford Regional Hospital.
